It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen).

Important Added Info: Note that this is the soundtrack promotional poster that was sent to record stores to promote the soundtrack to this movie in 1978 (while Star Wars was still in continuous first release). Star Wars stayed in theaters for an incredibly long time, and Lucasfilm decided to "refresh" it's marketing with a new poster. In the book Star Wars Art: Posters, Drew Struzan reveals that "Charles White III was commissioned to create this new poster. Charlie had seen my work and decided to call me in as a collaborator. I painted the portraits, while he painted the hardware. Lucasfilm liked the artwork, but there was not enough space left open for the "billing block". Necessity being the mother of invention, we decided to enlarge the dimensions of the art to increase the open space and give the work an early-twentieth-century, wild-posted [wilding] circus-style look. So it came about that it took the two of us to paint what would come to be known as the "Circus" poster for its throwback style." This means that the "defects" in the poster are intentional, and are part of the image, and are not actual defects!

Overall Condition: very good. The poster has some light fold and border wear and light, minor creases at the crossfolds. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well!
