RETURN OF THE JEDI dated teaser 1sh 1983 George Lucas' Revenge of the Jedi, Drew Struzan art.

An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Dated Teaser One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm])

Artist: Drew Struzan
Description: Return of the Jedi (now known as "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"), the classic 1983 Richard Marquand outer space science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure epic sequel ("Return to a galaxy far, far away!"; "The Saga Continues"; "The movie everyone's been waiting for!"; written and produced by George Lucas) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Billy Dee Williams (as Lando Calrissian), Anthony Daniels ("as C-3PO"), David Prowse (as the man in the Darth Vader suit), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Frank Oz (as the voice of Yoda), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), and Alec Guinness (as Obi-Wan Kenobi).

Important Added Info: Note that just about everyone knows that this movie was ultimately titled "Return of the Jedi", but that it had the original working title of "Revenge of the Jedi". Teaser posters were made with the working title, and they were made in both a dated and undated version. This is an original dated "Revenge of the Jedi" teaser one-sheet (the poster measures exactly 27" x 41")!

The posters were printed and distributed, but George Lucas decided to change the original name: RETURN of the Jedi, because he believed "revenge" was not appropriate for a Jedi, as a true Jedi would never seek revenge. This poster is extremely rare as the REVENGE posters were recalled and many were destroyed.

Overall Condition: very good. The poster has minor fine surface paper loss along portions of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this time period) and light creases in a few areas. There is a small, somewhat diagonal light crease above the bottom crossfold. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays quite well!
