Star Wars IV A New Hope Style A by Tom Jung 1sh Folded Theatrical Movie Poster

An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Fourth Printing One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm])

Artist: Tom Jung

Description: Star Wars (now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"), the classic 1977 George Lucas (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) outer space fantasy action adventure science fiction (sci-fi) epic ("A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."; "George Lucas, the man who brought you American Graffiti now brings you an adventure as big as the cosmos itself: Star Wars, the story of a boy, a girl, and a universe. It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen).

Important Added Info: Note that, due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were FOUR different printings of this "style A" one-sheet poster! The first printing had the original NSS number of 77-21-0, while the next three printings had the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all had "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while this fourth printing did not. There are also reproductions of this poster, but the poster offered here is the original "fourth printing"!

Overall Condition: very good. The poster has fine surface paper loss along portions of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this time period) and some light creases scattered in various areas, with a few faint wavy creases near the top of the poster. There are a few tiny creases and tears in the lower center blank border edge. There are light oval-shaped creases along portions of the vertical foldline (see our image) that were caused by the machine folding process itself (so they are not a defect). There appears to be 4 small pinholes in the corners as well. Overall the poster is in pretty nice condition!

Note:The poster was photographed on a black metal wall (which can be seen in the solid black background around the edges), and was held in place with magnets, which may appear as objects with round or square heads in the corners of the image.
