Description: Casque D'Or (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "Golden Marie"), the 1952 Jacques Becker French romantic love triangle crime murder melodrama (about a common French worker who falls in love with the girlfriend of a gangster, and the gangster's boss makes the two men have a fight to the death, and when the worker wins, the gangster turns him in, which leaves the girl for him, but the worker manages to escape and kills the gangster boss; amazingly, this was based on a true life story that was all over the French headlines at the turn of the century) starring Simone Signoret (in the title role as Marie "Casque d'Or"), Serge Reggiani, Claude Dauphin, Raymond Bussieres, and Odette Barencey.
